SolidWorks Search is integrated with Microsoft^® Windows^® Desktop Search.

If the correct version of Windows Desktop Search is not already installed on your computer, you are asked to install or update it during SolidWorks installation.

If you are creating an administrative image, Windows Desktop Search is not included in the administrative image directory. Microsoft Windows Desktop Search must be installed manually on client computers that install SolidWorks from an administrative image if those computers are to use SolidWorks Search.
